„Nightmare“ hat, verglichen mit den anderen Songs des Albums, einen eher exotischen Charakter. Es bedarf nur weniger Takte und schon kommt ein leichtes und unbeschwertes Sommergefühl auf. Doch Leichtigkeit kann manchmal trügerisch sein. Tatsächlich handelt der Text nämlich von einem immer wiederkehrenden Alptraum.
